The Mystery of Samson
I know in my Bible of a man who was birthed through a prophetic word. It was spoken that the son who would be born would be a special son, a deliverer for Israel.
The Instruction
This son carried a mandate upon his life: his name shall be called Samson, and no razor shall come upon his head. His consecration was the source of his power.
Fast forward in the Bible, and it speaks about how Samson met a woman called Delilah. The name Delilah means to bring low, to reduce, to pull down.
The Investigation
The Philistines brought Delilah to investigate where Samson’s strength came from. While he slept, she shaved off his hair, and his strength left him.
The Reduction
They gouged out his eyes. They mocked him. A man who was once mighty was reduced to a joke. The enemy loves to reduce giants to history.
But They Forgot One Thing...
The enemy made a mistake. They thought the cutting was the end. But Samson’s hair began to grow again.
Greater Victory
“The dead which he slew at his death were more than they which he slew in his life.” (Judges 16:30). Your latter end shall be greater than your beginning.
The Scent of Water
My Bible says there is hope for a tree, even if it is cut down. At the scent of water, it shall bud again. (Job 14:7-9)
