Mary Mary’s Tina Campbell and Husband Glendon ‘Teddy’ Divorcing After 25 Years
Trecina “Tina” Campbell, one half of the Grammy-winning gospel powerhouse duo Mary Mary, is facing a major life change. Her husband of more than two decades, Glendon “Teddy” Campbell, has officially filed to end their marriage, marking the end of a union that has been celebrated and scrutinized in the public eye.
According to legal documents filed in Los Angeles County, Teddy Campbell cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split. The couple reportedly separated nearly two years ago, in June 2024.
The End of an Era
The divorce was formally initiated by Teddy Campbell on Monday, April 13, 2026. The filing provides a clear, if brief, look into the terms of the separation.
Key Dates
Married: August 2000
Separated: June 2024
Filed for Divorce: April 2026
Custody & Support
The couple shares two minor children, Santana (13) and Glendon II (16). Teddy requested "child visitation" and asked for spousal support to be determined later.
Assets & Property
The filing indicated no community property issues need division, suggesting a pre-arranged agreement may be in place for a smoother legal process.
This is not the first time the couple's marriage has faced public challenges. Over a decade ago, they navigated a major cheating scandal documented on their WeTV reality series, "Mary Mary."
Tina's Past Reflections
In a 2015 interview, Tina described the devastation of discovering Teddy's infidelity: "It broke my heart. It devastated me and I spazzed out. I destroyed three cars... I was angry."
In a later 2020 interview with Essence, she reflected on the period, stating, "I found out who I really was when my marriage fell apart... There was a lot of prayer and counseling. But now I’m stronger and so is our marriage."
Both Tina and Teddy are accomplished musicians in the gospel world and beyond.
Trecina "Tina" Campbell
Tina rose to fame in the late ‘90s alongside her sister Erica as the duo Mary Mary. They achieved massive crossover success with hits like "Shackles (Praise You)" and have won four Grammy Awards. Tina also launched a solo career with her 2015 album, "It's Personal."
Glendon "Teddy" Campbell
Teddy is a renowned drummer and singer. He served as a drummer for "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and "American Idol," and is currently the lead singer for the gospel group the Soul Seekers.
