‘We Are Not Backing Down’: Prophet Godstime Adah Jets Into Harare for Mega-Crusade Amid T.B. Joshua Billboard Controversy
After weeks of intense legal threats and public controversy, Nigerian preacher Prophet Godstime Adah has officially landed in Zimbabwe. Defying aggressive demands from representatives of the late Prophet T.B. Joshua to tear down promotional billboards, the unapologetic cleric touched down at the airport to a hero's welcome, declaring his three-day Harare crusade will proceed exactly as planned.
The massive crusade is set to begin today at the Harare Showground Convergence Hall. Tensions had reached a boiling point in recent weeks when representatives of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) in Harare demanded that local promoters immediately pull down all marketing materials featuring T.B. Joshua’s likeness. However, local organizers remained defiantly resolute, asserting their spiritual lineage and refusing to alter their marketing strategy. Now, with the prophet physically on Zimbabwean soil, the focus shifts from the courtroom to the pulpit.

A Victory for Independent Ministries?
The arrival of Prophet Godstime Adah and the successful launch of the Harare crusade marks a fascinating moment in African church politics. When the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) launched its aggressive campaign to have T.B. Joshua's face removed from the billboards, many assumed the local organizers would fold under the pressure of the mega-church.
Instead, their sheer defiance paid off. By standing their ground on the principle of "spiritual sonship," they essentially dared the institutional church to stop them—and they won the standoff of public perception. As thousands gather at the Harare Showground this week, the event proves that while intellectual property laws exist on paper, the charismatic landscape often operates on a completely different set of rules. The people care less about trademark infringements and more about the promise of healing, hope, and deliverance.
