Following weeks of intense national discourse surrounding the multi-million-dollar contributions made by businessman Wicknell Chivayo, Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa and the UFIC Ministry have published a personal message of gratitude, explaining the biblical grounding behind their acceptance and addressing public misunderstandings.

Mr and Mrs Chivayo,
My Wife and I and the entire UFIC ministry would want to express our gratitude for your generosity that always goes beyond measure.
Your gifts of USD 1M for the construction of the church, and of a Rolls Royce and G Wagon came from your money, which only your family have a right to. It's even foolish for anyone outside of that family to expect to receive a gift from you, which was the reason why we declined your precious gifts a year ago. It was from the understanding that we are not entitled to them and out of not wanting to add to your burden of helping the deserving.
Unfortunately, our people, as usual, misunderstood our gesture and criticized you even for the good you did us, but you never listened to anyone but rather, with your good heart came back even a third time.
Sir, we know that such acts do not come from an abundance of money but from an abundant heart such as you have. You could have spent all of it without sharing a dime and only the unreasonable would hold that against you.
MATTHEW 20V15 has an account of a rich man who was being interrogated by one of the poor people he was helping - they were trying to teach the rich man a lesson on economics but instead he gave a simple answer, 'is it not allowed to use my money the way I want'.
Unfortunately that is the rich man's predicament.
