“I Need PRAYERS From Every Corner Of The World”: Wicknell Chivayo And Wife Lucy Seen Giving Their Lives To Christ 4 Days Before Death
A deeply emotional video showing the late businessman Wicknell Chivayo and his wife, Lucy Muteke, participating in an altar call has resurfaced following their sudden deaths in a helicopter crash.
The profound spiritual moment took place on Saturday, September 26, 2026—just four days before the couple and three others tragically lost their lives when their helicopter went down in Marondera.
Joining The Worshippers
The couple were among congregants who immediately responded after Apostle Selman invited people who wanted to receive Jesus Christ to come forward to the front of the auditorium.
In the resurfaced footage from the service, Chivayo and Lucy can be seen standing shoulder-to-shoulder among the worshippers as the preacher led them through a series of declarations of faith. At one poignant moment, both Chivayo and Lucy raised their hands in total surrender while participating in the prayer.
The video clearly shows Chivayo and his wife visibly engaged and taking an active part in the prayer, completely oblivious to the tragedy that would strike just 96 hours later.
Reflecting on Apostle Selman
Shortly after the service concluded, Chivayo took to his Instagram account to share his thoughts about the profound encounter with the Nigerian preacher. He noted that they had attended the House of Treasures Church Conference, which was held under the leadership of Apostle Felix Okoh.
“What a great honour and privilege for my wife and I to meet the highly respected Apostle Joshua Selman... I was truly blessed by Apostle Selman’s profound teachings, wisdom and revelation of the Word of God.”
Chivayo expressed that the teachings had left him spiritually refreshed. In a moment of deep introspection, he reflected on the absolute necessity of continuing to seek divine wisdom, regardless of one's earthly achievements.
‘I Need PRAYERS From Every Corner’
In what now reads as an eerily prescient final request to his followers, Chivayo linked his renewed faith to his grand ambitions of expanding his business empire across the African continent and beyond. He admitted that human effort alone falls short.
“As I continue pursuing my vision of becoming a MULTI-BILLIONAIRE... I understand very well that money, intelligence and hard work alone are never enough,” he stated candidly.
Concluding his long post, Chivayo expressed deep gratitude to the House of Treasures Ministries community. He described his meeting with Selman not as a mere coincidence, but as a heavenly orchestration.
“Some meetings are appointments; others are DIVINE APPOINTMENTS. This was certainly one of them. TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY… The journey continues, and by His grace, the vision only gets BIGGER!!! 🌍🙏🏾💰”
Summary: Peace Before The Storm
The resurfaced video and accompanying Instagram post have sent shockwaves through social media, offering a deeply moving final chapter to the lives of Wicknell Chivayo and his wife Lucy. Knowing that they perished just four days after raising their hands in a prayer of salvation adds a profound, spiritual weight to the tragedy.
For a man so famously known for his immense wealth, his final public reflections—admitting that "money, intelligence and hard work alone are never enough" and calling his time at the altar a "divine appointment"—will likely serve as a lasting testimony of faith for his followers and the wider religious community mourning their loss.
