As the final stage set designs are erected at the premium Eastend Hall inside the Harare Showgrounds (ZITF / Business Hub), physical and digital box offices report that the venue has effectively breached 98% total seating capacity. This unprecedented momentum cements Mhere's standing as one of the most commercially dominant and spiritually impactful forces in contemporary African praise and worship ministries.

With a star-studded, powerhouse supporting lineup that now officially includes the vocal sensation and global gospel icon Everton Mlalazi, alongside Zimbabwe's premier female worship leader Janet Manyowa and the legendary Takesure Zamar Poni Ngoni, "The Covenant" album launch is positioned to be the definitive live gospel concert of 2026.

For discerning corporate partners and spiritual devotees seeking the ultimate unhurried experience, the exclusive VVIP package offers front-row proximity to the live recording altar, priority secured parking, and an exclusive artist meet-and-greet token. However, with less than 2% of total venue allocations unassigned, the window of opportunity to witness this historic move of God live in Harare is closing rapidly. Secure the remaining VVIP placeholders immediately before the hard lockdown is active.

A Covenant of Africa's Best

To ensure a night of unmatched spiritual depth, Mathias Mhere has expanded the guest list to include Zimbabwe's top-tier ministers:

Major Addition: Everton Mlalazi

The multi-award-winning "The Lord is my Light" hitmaker, Everton Mlalazi, joins the stage, adding his sophisticated and soulful worship style to the recording.

The Gospel Heavyweights

Janet Manyowa, Takesure Zamar, Canaan Nyathi, Joyfull Praise Choir, Sipho Snowy, Larry Gunda, and Siyakha Khitha.

Roots: From Gutu to Gweru

Born on June 13, 1988, in Gutu, Mathias Mhere’s interest in music was evident before he even had access to real instruments. He famously practiced his rhythm on worn-out pots (zvingwendere) at his rural home.

Alongside his siblings Daniel, Miriro, and Melody, he formed the Gospel Hurricane. While the group eventually disbanded, the seed was sown for a career that would later capture the conscience of the nation.

Rise to Stardom: The "Favour" Breakthrough

Mhere’s solo career began with struggle. His first album, Tinoda Nyasha, was a commercial flop due to poor marketing. However, after a four-year sabbatical, he returned in 2011 with Anoita Minana.

Impact of "Favour"

The song Favour propelled him to national prominence in 2012, topping gospel charts and establishing him as a competent live performer under the mentorship of legendary Mechanic Manyeruke.

Mathias Mhere Legacy AND Influence

Beyond the stage, Mhere was appointed as the Charity Homes Ambassador by ZAHA in 2013, using his platform to assist those in need across Zimbabwe.

His musical reach extended to collaborations with the late Oliver Mtukudzi on the song Tsano Handei, blending traditional Zimbabwean sounds with contemporary gospel worship.

Be Part of The Covenant

Don't miss the chance to witness history in the making. June 13th at Eastend Hall will be a night of unmatched praise and worship. Secure your tickets now and witness the power of Zimbabwean Gospel music.
